Became very interested in Baroque Bows when I heard a
violin teacher playing one. Was very impressed with the very
quick "response" on "spiccatto", "martele"and other bow strokes.
It added a dimension of effects hard to do with the regular
violin bow. Had a professional jazz player comment that he also
used the baroque bow for some of the jazz pieces. Was able to
find a manufacturer of the following quality baroque bows at
a reasonable price. Frogs are of different styles, woods,
plus also available in "faux ivory".
